CONSTANT EFFORT @ CVRS
Constant Effort Ringing at CVRS
The Ringing Station continues to operate two constant effort sites at Chew Valley Lake.
Site A-CES (BTO site No. 251) is on the East shore of the lake and uses 11 standard nets. (660 ft.)
Site C-CES (BTO site No. 117) is on the West shore and uses 9 standard Nets. (460 ft.)
Both sites have typical shallow lakeside habitat with reed and scrub but with C-CES having some blackthorn and managed willow whilst A-CES has dogwood, managed willow, and many larger trees in its surrounding area.
